Job summary

Oxford City Council is seeking a proactive Fire Safety Projects Officer to support the delivery of fire safety, building safety and compliance across its HRA housing portfolio. You will coordinate activities, support a specialist team and ensure accurate records and audit trails.

The role reports to the Senior Fire Risk Assessor and involves coordinating works, ensuring regulatory submissions are prepared, and maintaining resident safety information in a high-risk, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Coordinate fire safety activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with regulatory submissions and performance reporting.
• Support Fire Risk Assessors, Fire Project Managers and Building Safety Managers.
• Maintain audit trails and ensure compliance with fire safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration and project support to the HRA fire safety team.
• Coordinate fire safety works and actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments.
• Prepare building safety documentation and resident safety information.
• Support regulatory submissions and performance reporting.
• Help maintain records and information systems for compliance.
