This is a key operational role within the HRA Fire Safety and Compliance function, responsible for managing the delivery of fire safety improvement works arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRA's), building safety reviews, inspections, audits and wider compliance activity. The postholder will act as the Council's client-side lead for fire safety project delivery, ensuring that works are properly scoped, coordinated, monitored and completed to the required quality, compliance and safety standards.
Working closely with Fire Risk Assessors, Building Safety Managers, contractors, consultants and operational teams, the Fire Safety Project Manager will ensure that fire safety actions are translated into effective delivery programmes with clear governance, reporting and evidence of completion.
The role will support the Council's compliance with the Building Safety Act , Fire Safety Act , Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and wider landlord safety obligations, ensuring that fire safety risks are managed proactively and that residents remain safe within their homes.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in project delivery, contractor management and fire safety-related works, alongside the ability to coordinate multiple programmes and maintain robust records, reporting and assurance arrangements.
