Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trusts are seeking a Fire Safety Manager (Band 7) to provide expert fire safety advice and policy interpretation across the organisation, including the Trust Board.

The post holder will oversee Fire Risk Assessments, train staff, manage Fire Safety Officers, and coordinate with estates teams and GMFRS to minimise risk and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering fire safety programmes and policies.
• Ability to interpret legislation and NHS guidance.
• Manage Fire Safety Officers and oversee FRAs.
• Collaborate with estates teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide Fire Safety advice to all levels of organisation including Trust Board.
• Develop and implement Fire Safety training for staff.
• Oversee annual schedule of fire drills and exercises.
• Coordinate Fire Risk Assessments across estates.
• Liaise with GMFRS and external partners.
• Investigate and report fire incidents.
