Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Fire Safety Manager (Band 7) to cover work across Stockport and Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trusts. The post holder will provide fire safety advice and support to all levels of the organisation, including the Trust Board, and help develop Fire Safety Policy.

The role includes overseeing Fire Risk Assessments, delivering training, coordinating drills, liaising with GMFRS, and ensuring HTM standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fire safety within a large healthcare organisation.
• Develops and implements Fire Safety Policy.
• Provides line management to Fire Safety Officers.

Responsibilities

• Provide Fire Safety advice and support to all levels of the organisation.
• Develop and monitor compliance with Fire Safety Policy.
• Oversee Fire Risk Assessments across Trust estates.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive Fire Safety training.
• Coordinate annual fire drills and exercises.
• Liaise with external agencies (GMFRS).
• Survey fire safety installations and research new developments.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for fire incidents.
