React Recruitment Ltd for our Dover client is seeking a Fire Safety Manager to lead safety governance across the estate and drive continuous improvement.

The role is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with responsibility for Fire Risk Assessments, policies, training and liaison with regulators. Based in Dover, the post requires degree in relevant discipline, professional membership and a full UK driving licence, with on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of Building Safety Act and fire safety legislation.
• Membership of GIFireE/MIFireE or actively working towards membership.
• Full UK driving licence and on-call flexibility.
• Experience with High-Risk Buildings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Fire Safety Management System and governance framework.
• Develop fire safety policies, standards and procedures.
• Manage and assure statutory Fire Risk Assessments across the estate.
• Undertake and validate complex Fire Risk Assessments.
• Provide technical advice on active and passive fire protection measures.
• Support Engineering, Estates, Capital Projects and Building Compliance teams.
• Review designs, refurbishments and construction projects for fire safety.
• Lead fire safety audits, inspections and compliance reporting.
• Develop and test emergency plans and evacuation strategies.
• Manage contractor fire safety arrangements and hot work controls.
• Liaise with Kent Fire & Rescue Service, insurers and regulators.
• Produce executive-level reports, KPIs and improvement plans.
• Conduct fire safety training needs analysis and stakeholder engagement.
