Job summary

TPP Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Adviser to shape safety across a large estate in Hertfordshire with occasional travel to London. This permanent, hybrid role focuses on leading fire safety and built environment health and safety across campuses and facilities.

You will own specialist fire safety work, influence culture, deliver fire risk assessments, training, audits, and governance. NEBOSH General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificate are required; IOSH membership is

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate and Fire Safety Certificate.
• Experience in fire safety, construction or built environment H&S.
• Strong fire risk assessment knowledge with practical experience.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills to train and influence stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with risk management and performance reporting.
• IOSH membership (TechIOSH or working towards) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire risk assessments and support Fire Marshals
• Deliver fire safety training and promote a positive safety culture across the campuses
• Advise on contractor safety, building safety and construction projects
• Carry out audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Support safety events, compliance reporting and guidance development
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across infrastructure and operational teams
• Contribute to governance groups, committees and compliance reporting
• Help develop meaningful performance measures and safety KPIs
• Reduce reliance on external consultants by providing in–house fire safety expertise
