Fire Safety Inspector (8094) | Permanent contract | 18.5 hours per week| £36,124 to £37,938 per annum pro rata | (Grade I) | Wymondham, Norfolk
Norfolk County Councils Fire and recuse team are committed to the safety of its residents. The Building Safety Regulator is responsible for ensuring the safety of our tall buildings. This roles primary focus is to carry out work for the building safety regulator as part of the regional team put together by fire services but as an employee of Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.
As fire safety inspector you will be asked to undertake inspections of buildings in Norfolk in line with their risk based inspection programme as well as assessing the fire safety arrangements in tall buildings as part of their application for building safety certificate through the building safety regulator.
This may mean site visits and liaison with responsible and accountable persons.
The successful candidate will also provide guidance to the wider service with regard to tall buildings specifically for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service enforcement, and remediation actions. As well as promoting fire safety awareness in the business community. If necessary, they will enforce fire safety regulation as outlined in the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.

This job has the flexibility that hybrid working allows with access to the office when required. It will also mean that as you will be working regionally you will be linking in with our other regional services. This can be discussed at interview.
The minimum essential qualification for this is level 4 diploma in fire safety or equivalent.
