Where Does This Role Fit In?

As a Fire Safety Inspector, you will be an integral part of the Pobl Group’s commitment to health and safety. You'll work alongside other teams to report and address any concerns, ensuring compliance and promoting a safe living environment for our residents. Your role involves regular inspections, testing of fire safety systems, and liaising with other teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

This role will cover our East properties, including Gwent and surrounding areas. Occasionally, support may be needed for properties in the West. A Work Van and fuel card are provided.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

• Experience: Ideally, experience in fire safety, property maintenance, or a similar field. Experience in social housing or a customer-focused environment is a plus.
• Skills & Abilities: Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent communication skills. Capable of basic building maintenance with a good understanding of Health and Safety.
• Technical Knowledge: Competence in non-technical fire and smoke alarm testing, basic electrical works, and fire door inspections.
• Qualifications: A full driving license is essential. Commitment to ongoing training in health and safety and fire safety procedures.

What are the pay and benefits?

• This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 31st December 2025, with a salary of £29,103 for 37 hours per week.
• The head office is based in Newport.
• A full driver’s license is required.
• A basic DBS check is required, which we pay for.
• 26 days holiday plus Bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service.
