Job summary
Rimkus in the UK is seeking a Fire Engineer to lead and assist the development of the fire engineering delivery across complex built environment projects, including external wall fire risk assessments and remediation programmes, with hybrid working from offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
You will work within a broad technical team, mentor junior staff, prepare and review technical reports, and ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation while developing client
Qualifications
- Experience in fire safety consultancy and UK legislation.
- Chartered or working toward chartership preferred.
- Degree in engineering or related field required.
- Experience leading fire strategy projects a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with residential and commercial schemes.
- Knowledge of ADB, BS 9999 and BS 7974 beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Lead fire engineering and EWS assessments.
- Manage compliance and technical outputs.
- Undertake site inspections and advisory work.
- Mentor the wider team.
- Prepare and review technical reports.
- Cross-collaborate with all company disciplines.
