Job summary

The Great Western Hospitals NHS FT in Swindon is seeking a Fire Safety Advisor to join the Health, Safety, Fire and Security Team. You will provide specialist fire safety guidance, undertake fire risk assessments and support compliance with fire safety regulations and NHS Firecode requirements.

As part of the team, you will develop, deliver and evaluate fire safety training, assist in evacuation planning, maintain risk records and contribute to a positive fire safety culture across the Trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist fire safety advice and guidance to staff and other stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive fire safety reports and recommendations.
• Undertake fire risk assessments across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical areas.
• Develop, deliver and evaluate fire safety training programmes.
• Support departments in the development and review of fire evacuation plans and other fire safety documentation.
• Support the development and delivery of the Trust's Fire Warden programme.
• Maintain oversight of fire-related risks recorded on the Trust Risk Register and support the implementation of risk reduction actions.
• Contribute to the Trust's compliance with fire safety legislation, NHS Firecode and fire safety best practice
