Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Trust with effective Fire Safety management. This position is based within the Estates & Facilities Department.

Role Overview

The Fire Safety Adviser will work across Trust sites to support departments and teams in meeting statutory responsibilities and fire safety needs. The role involves providing expert advice and assistance to staff, senior managers, and Trust Directors. Experience in fire risk assessments in complex settings and relevant fire safety qualifications are essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage fire safety throughout the estate, including advice on planned and defect maintenance, inspections, and training.
2. Support the Senior Fire Safety Advisor in policy implementation and service development.
3. Deputise for the Senior Fire Safety Advisor when required.
4. Advise on all aspects of fire safety according to statutory requirements, Codes of Practice, Firecode, and other guidance.
5. Ensure staff receive appropriate fire safety training relevant to their environment.
