Brandon James is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join our Newcastle team. You will manage a varied portfolio of properties across the North East, undertaking high-quality fire risk assessments and providing practical fire safety advice.

The role requires Level 4 qualification, strong UK fire safety knowledge, and ability to work independently while managing multiple assessments. Hybrid working and ongoing CPD opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification required.
• Strong experience carrying out fire risk assessments.
• Good knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and current UK fire safety guidance.
• Experience working across a variety of building types.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking high-quality fire risk assessments across residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings.
• Complete Type 1-4 fire risk assessments where required.
• Assess fire safety measures, escape routes and compartmentation.
• Produce detailed reports with clear remedial actions.

Job description

A growing fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their team in Newcastle. The successful Fire Risk Assessor will manage a varied portfolio of properties across the North East, completing detailed assessments and providing clear, practical fire safety advice.

The Fire Risk Assessor's Role

The appointed Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for undertaking high-quality fire risk assessments across residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings.

Key duties will include:

• Completing Type 1-4 fire risk assessments where required
• Assessing fire safety measures, escape routes and compartmentation
• Identifying hazards, deficiencies and areas of non-compliance
• Producing detailed reports with clear remedial actions
• Reviewing existing fire safety documentation
• Liaising with clients, building managers and contractors
• Providing practical advice on current fire safety legislation
• Managing their own workload across Newcastle and the wider North East

The Fire Risk Assessor

The successful Fire Risk Assessor will be required to have:

• Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification
• Strong experience carrying out fire risk assessments
• Good knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and current UK fire safety guidance
• Experience working across a variety of building types
• Strong report-writing and client-facing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assessments
• A full UK driving licence
• Membership of a recognised professional body such as the IFE would be advantageous.
