A well-established fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join their team and support projects across Wales. The successful Fire Risk Assessor will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use properties, providing practical fire safety advice and high-quality assessments.
The appointed Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for carrying out detailed fire risk assessments and supporting clients with clear, practical recommendations.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking fire risk assessments across a range of building types
Identifying fire hazards, deficiencies and areas of non-compliance
Reviewing means of escape, compartmentation and fire safety provisions
Producing detailed reports with clear remedial actions
Advising clients on fire safety responsibilities and priorities
Reviewing existing fire safety documentation and procedures
Liaising with building managers, property teams and contractors
Managing site visits across Wales and surrounding areas
The successful Fire Risk Assessor will ideally have:
A recognised qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety
Previous experience carrying out fire risk assessments independently
Strong knowledge of current UK fire safety legislation and guidance
Experience working across residential and commercial properties
Good report-writing and communication skills
Confidence dealing directly with clients and stakeholders
Membership of the IFE, IFSM or another relevant professional body would be beneficial
A full UK driving licence
The Fire Risk Assessor can expect:
£45,000-£55,000, depending on experience
