The Fire Protection Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Matlock, responsible for preparing accurate estimates and proposals for passive fire protection projects. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, quantifying materials and labour, and developing cost breakdowns for services such as intumescent coatings, fire compartmentation, cementitious sprays, and fire door installations. The role involves liaising with project managers, site teams, suppliers, and clients to clarify requirements, obtain quotations, and ensure estimates align with technical standards and regulatory compliance. The Estimator will update and maintain pricing databases, support tender submissions, and contribute to value engineering and project planning to help deliver competitive, high-quality solutions. Regular collaboration with operations and technical staff is expected to refine scopes of work, manage revisions, and support successful project delivery.
