Job summary

Kronospan is seeking a proactive Fire Prevention & Maintenance Technician to join our site in the United Kingdom. You will maintain fire alarm, detection, and protection systems, perform regular maintenance and testing, and support compliance with fire safety regulations.

This role supports continuous improvement initiatives, participates in the Emergency Response Fire Team, and works toward safe, reliable operations with on-call flexibility due to RRO and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire detection, suppression, or protection systems in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance capabilities.
• Knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible, able to work on-call and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fire alarm, detection, and protection systems across the site.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, and testing of fire-related equipment (mechanical/electrical).
• Develop and improve inspection procedures in line with regulations and best practices.
• Participate in the on-site Emergency Response Fire Team.
• Coordinate maintenance planning and contractor support during shutdowns.
