Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Engineer for a static on-site role at a major facility in Ashford, Kent. You will service, fault-find and maintain fire alarm and gas suppression systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance, and you will liaise with the client to plan remedial actions and upgrades.

You will join an on-site team delivering high-quality service, covering routine maintenance, call-outs, and engineering projects while developing expertise in gas suppression

Qualifications

Proven experience with fire detection and fire alarm systems.
Experience in a service-focused role or facility environment.
Willingness to train in gas suppression and related systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong IT literacy and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems on site.
Receive training in gas suppression and mechanical suppression systems.
Carry out integrity testing and complete service documentation.
Liaise with client to obtain permits to work and ensure safety compliance.
Attend mandatory training and maintain required certifications.
Support on-site team during call-out rotations and outages.
