Job summary

Sureserve Compliance Fire Ltd. is seeking a technician to maintain and service life safety equipment, emergency light and smoke vent systems in line with UK and European standards. You will work on on-site contracts, respond to callouts, and support apprentices while ensuring high standards of client service.

The role offers a basic salary in the £32k–£38k range with potential overtime and a 1-in-10 standby rota, plus a benefits package and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous Fire Maintenance experience.
• Good understanding of the British Standards BS 5839 and BS 5266.
• FIA units (1,3,5).
• Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day planned and reactive maintenance of contracts.
• Servicing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems.
• Respond to emergency callouts and carry out remedial works as required.
• Carry out asset verification.
• Install replacement/additional equipment.
• Conduct site surveys as required.
• Support the development of apprentices.
• Act in a professional and diligent manner for clients.
• Call out rota (1 night in 10).
