QUINTESSENTIAL BRANDS UK GROUP LTD is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned compliance inspections and functional safety checks across multiple sites in the North West to ensure fire safety systems and life safety equipment are compliant with current regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within fire safety, building compliance, facilities management or a similar maintenance environment.
• Good understanding of fire safety systems and life safety equipment.
• Ability to identify defects and accurately record inspection findings.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled compliance inspections across multiple sites throughout the North West.
• Inspect communal and flat entrance fire doors in accordance with current fire safety legislation and Regulation 10 Fire Safety (England) Regulations.
• Conduct functional checks of fire alarm systems and detectors, Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) systems, and verify that fire safety systems are operating correctly and free from faults.
• Test alarm sounders and associated equipment to ensure they provide effective warning to occupants.
• Raise remedial works for any defects or compliance issues identified during inspections.
• Liaise with internal teams and clients regarding findings and required corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
