Job summary

GET Staff is recruiting a Fire Extinguisher Engineer to service and maintain fire safety equipment at customer sites. You will identify opportunities to upsell and help generate new business while ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.

The role requires driving a full UK license, and candidates can earn an OTE of up to £40,000 with a basic salary of £22,000–£28,000 depending on experience. A company van and fuel card are provided, with 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in fire extinguisher servicing.
• BAFE SP101 certification is highly desirable.
• PAT Testing certification is required.
• Emergency Lighting certification is required.
• Fire Safety Maintenance or Fire Door Inspection experience.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and maintaining fire extinguishers.
• Carrying out maintenance and inspections of associated fire safety equipment.
• Identifying opportunities to upsell products and services during site visits.
• Ensuring on-site sales are approved by the site manager or responsible person.
• Generating new business through cold calling when possible.
• Developing new customer relationships and maintaining records of customers introduced to the business.
• Completing all relevant paperwork, service reports and documentation.
• Managing van stock and ensuring equipment is maintained and accounted for.
• Providing the Office Manager with a daily email outlining the expected working area.
