Job summary

Frazer‑Nash Consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Fire Engineering – Consultant to join a team of experienced engineers. You will deliver high‑quality fire engineering across regulated sectors, including nuclear, defence, aerospace and energy systems.

The role offers a flexible hybrid pattern with time split between offices, client sites and home working, plus a salary range of £55,000 to £70,000 per annum, open to discussion DOE. Closing date: Friday 7 August 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering or maths (or equivalent).
• Extensive fire engineering experience in high‑hazard or highly regulated industries such as nuclear or defence.
• Experience producing fire strategies for complex facilities.
• Expertise with UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations, British Standards and latest guidance.
• Member of the IFE or actively working towards this.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high‑quality fire engineering service to clients.
• Interact with clients across highly regulated sectors (e.g. nuclear energy, defence, rail).
• Plan and deliver work, attending client sites across the UK as required.
• Carry out fire engineering work including strategies, testing, design and safety case.
• Project manage projects with accountability for resources and budgets.
• Contribute to business development and manage enquiries with new and existing clients.
