Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join the Bristol team, delivering fire engineering expertise across residential, commercial, healthcare and mixed-use developments in Bristol and the South West.

The role involves producing fire strategies, supporting Building Regulations approvals, and mentoring junior engineers, with hybrid working and development support.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a fire engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of Approved Document B and relevant British Standards.

A growing fire engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Engineer to join their Bristol team. The successful Fire Engineer will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, healthcare and mixed-use developments throughout Bristol and the South West.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Producing and reviewing fire strategies
• Providing fire engineering input throughout the design process
• Reviewing architectural drawings and technical specifications
• Advising on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistance
• Supporting projects through Building Regulations approval
• Attending client and design team meetings
• Preparing technical reports and fire safety documentation
• Liaising with Building Control, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Supporting junior members of the fire engineering team where required

The successful Fire Engineer will ideally have:

• A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience within a fire engineering consultancy
• Strong knowledge of Approved Document B and relevant British Standards
• Experience preparing fire strategies and technical reports
• Good understanding of UK fire safety legislation and Building Regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Membership of the IFE or progress towards professional registration would be advantageous
