A respected contractor in the built environment sector seeks an experienced Fire Door Site Manager for a hands-on role. You will oversee door-related projects, ensuring compliance and quality, and manage site teams. We are working on behalf of a respected and growing contractor within the built environment sector to recruit an experienced Fire Door Site Manager with a strong background in new and remediation fire door projects. This is a hands-on, site-based position offering a blend of project leadership, compliance, and stakeholder coordination responsibilities.
This company works across residential and commercial environments with a strong emphasis on quality, health and safety, and fire compliance. You ll be joining a supportive team and will be offered additional training and development where required.
The Role:
You will take full responsibility for managing door-related packages on live projects, ensuring quality and compliance from pre-construction through to completion. Duties will include:
Conducting fire door surveys, referencing, and collating floor plans
Producing detailed work schedules and managing procurement
Liaising with commercial teams to compare survey data and validate scope
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and third-party accreditations (e.g., FIRAS)
Preparing and overseeing H&S documentation including Construction Phase Plans and Method Statements
Managing site-based labour and subcontractors
Acting as a key point of contact for technical queries and resident liaison
Supporting and developing site teams to maintain benchmark quality
Regular reporting to senior management and maintaining progress trackers
Using digital tools and systems to log and monitor works
Requirements:
Proven experience managing joinery or fire door installation works
Strong working knowledge of door compliance standards (BS8214 advantageous)
Confident leading site teams and managing sub-contractors
SMSTS, First Aid, and ideally CSCS Gold Supervisor card
Excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willingness to travel and work away as required (expenses covered)
