Job summary

Karntek Ltd is seeking a Fire Door Inspector to join our growing team of fire safety professionals. You will carry out fire door inspections and compartmentation surveys across residential and educational premises in London and the Southeast, helping clients improve compliance and reduce risk.

You will work independently within a highly experienced team, identifying breaches and providing practical recommendations while producing detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire safety, building surveying, passive fire protection, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across London and Southeast and further when required.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Enhanced DBS check to be completed by Karntek.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire door inspections and compartmentation surveys across London and the Southeast.
• Review fire strategies to assess compliance and support decisions.
• Engage with residents, clients and site teams on surveys on-site.
• Identify breaches in fire compartmentation and passive fire protection measures.
• Provide clear, practical recommendations for improvements.
• Produce professional reports detailing findings and actions.
