Job summary

Build Recruitment are partnering with a leading housing association to recruit experienced FRA Carpenters / Fire Door Installers for their Fire Management Repairs team in London and surrounding areas.

The role involves carrying out fire safety repairs and maintenance identified through Fire Risk Assessments, working in residents' homes and communal areas, with a focus on passive fire protection and housing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter / Joiner.
• Experience installing, repairing or maintaining fire doors.
• Experience in social housing, housing maintenance or property maintenance is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to complete compliance records.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain fire doors and fire door sets.
• Carry out fire door upgrades and remedial works.
• Undertake passive fire protection repairs and maintenance.
• Complete minor fire-stopping and associated remedial works.
• Work from Fire Risk Assessments and ensure compliance.
• Complete accurate documentation and records.
• Work safely within occupied properties and communal areas.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service to residents.
• Manage workload and complete works within timescales.
