Job summary

Future Select is recruiting a Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer for the Midlands region. You will inspect, test and certify fire dampers to BS9999 standards, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Based around Northampton or nearby, the role offers £27k–£38k plus training and benefits, company vehicle and overtime earning opportunities, and clear progression through specialist training.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer.
• Fire Damper Testing ticket.
• FIRAS ticket and/or NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping.
• Knowledge of BS9999 guidelines.
• Proficient IT skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing fire dampers, ensuring they are fully functional and compliant.
• Highlighting any required remedial works for existing dampers.
• Fitting fire curtains.
• Installing full fire stopping systems, including: mastic, batt, firestop blocks and fire resistant sealants.
• Compartmentation surveys.
• Completing regular service reports.
• Annotating existing schematic drawings and creating new.
• Adhering to safety guidelines.
• Working to set guidelines and project scopes.
