Job summary

Future Select is seeking a Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer based in Northampton (Midlands region) to inspect, test and install fire dampers and stopping systems. The role emphasises adherence to BS9999 guidelines and requires relevant tickets and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer.
• Hold the Fire Damper Testing ticket.
• FIRAS ticket and/or NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping.
• Good knowledge of BS9999 guidelines.
• Confident with IT software.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test fire dampers for functionality and compliance.
• Identify remedial works for existing dampers.
• Fit fire curtains.
• Install full fire stopping systems (mastic, batt, firestop blocks, sealants).
• Conduct compartmentation surveys.
• Complete regular service reports.
• Annotate and update schematic drawings.

Job Title: Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer

Location: Northampton, East Midlands

Salary/Benefits: £27k - £38k + Training & Benefits

We are recruiting for a multi-skilled and knowledgeable Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer in the Midlands region. You will be joining a respected name who specialise within the Ventilation / Compliance industry, who have a nationwide presence. Applicants must be fully versed in BS9999 guidelines and will ideally hold the Fire Damper and NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping. Experience / Qualifications

• Experience working as a Fire Damper / Stopping Engineer
• Will hold the Fire Damper Testing ticket
• Ideally will be qualified with the FIRAS ticket and / or NVQ Level 2 in Fire Stopping

The Role
