Progroup Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Fire Damper Engineer to install, inspect and maintain fire dampers across nationwide sites. This is a technical, hands-on role requiring flexibility to travel and occasional night work on project requirements.

Join a growing specialist division with ongoing technical development through the in-house Training Academy and exposure to a range of building types within a national passive fire protection business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fire damper installation, inspection, maintenance and/or remedial works.
• Good knowledge of applicable fire safety standards and industry requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings and building information.
• A full UK driving licence.

We are currently looking for experienced Fire Damper Engineers to join the team on a permanent basis! This is a technical, hands-on role suited to engineers with proven experience working with fire dampers and a strong understanding of passive fire protection. This is a nationwide role so you must be happy to stay and work away when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out installation, maintenance and remedial works to fire dampers.
• Reviewing compartmentation drawings, operation and maintenance manuals and fire risk assessments.
• Identifying defects, remedial requirements, and building-specific complexities.
• Completing accurate inspection reports, records and building checklists.
• Travelling to sites nationwide, with a mixture of day and night work depending on project requirements.

About You.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience in fire damper installation, inspection, maintenance and/or remedial works.

• Flexibility to travel nationwide and work a combination of days and nights when required.
