Job summary

V7 Recruitment is seeking a experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer for a temporary sub-contract role based in Sunderland. The position focuses on servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, with additional responsibilities for security systems such as access control and door entry.

The role covers commercial sites across Sunderland with a 6-month rolling contract, Monday to Friday pattern, overtime available and travel time paid.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems.

• Ability to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance works.

Fire & Security Service Engineer (Temporary Sub-Contract Role)

V7 are recruiting experienced Fire & Security Service Engineers, with a strong fire alarm background, to support a national commercial contract based in Sunderland. While this is a multi-skilled role, the position is primarily fire-focused, covering servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting, alongside security systems. This role offers stable, long-term subcontract work on commercial sites across Sunderland and the surrounding area.

The Role

• Initial 6-month rolling contract
• Monday to Friday working pattern (weekend work available)
• Servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting (primary focus)
• Reactive fault-finding and remedial repairs on fire systems
• Servicing and maintaining security systems, including access control and door entry, as required
• Working across commercial sites throughout Sunderland
• Managing workload effectively while meeting service deadlines

Requirements

• Valid DBS check required
