Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a leading Fire & Security company operating around the Chelmsford region. The role involves working as part of a team across various commercial sites, servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Servicing and repairing multiple system types including Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and DDA systems, adhering to current standards and Codes of Practice.
• Managing project timelines and communicating potential risks promptly.
• Experience with network/IP-based products is advantageous.
• FIA qualifications are beneficial but not essential; a full understanding of BS standards is required.
• Completing timesheets and relevant paperwork punctually.
• Participating in training and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Experience required:

• Proven background in Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry, and DDA systems.
• Experience with network/IP-based products is beneficial.
• Knowledge of system integration and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel and work away when necessary.

Salary / Package:

• Basic salary up to £40,000 (dependent on experience)
• Paid travel time (30 mins each way)
• Overtime, company van (private use permitted)
