Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing, maintenance and commissioning across a range of fire and electronic security systems
- Diagnose faults and restore systems to full working order efficiently
- Support the installation, configuration and testing of fire alarm systems where required
- Deliver high-quality workmanship while ensuring customer expectations are met on every visit
- Maintain accurate digital records and service documentation following each job
- Work in line with current health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Provide professional customer support and technical advice when required
- Take part in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
Skills and Experience
- Strong background working with fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
- Experience with a variety of industry-leading manufacturers and integrated security platforms
- Good understanding of networking principles and associated technologies is advantageous
- Previous experience commissioning and maintaining commercial fire alarm systems
- Gent product knowledge or willingness to complete manufacturer training
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Strong communication and organisational skills with a customer-focused approach
- Motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Keen to develop technical knowledge through ongoing training
