Job summary

Johnson Controls in the North East of England is hiring a Fire Alarm Service Engineer for a static on-site role at a key industrial site. You’ll service and maintain fire alarm systems and gain exposure to gas suppression.

You will also complete accurate on-site documentation and engage in regular toolbox talks, ensuring compliance and safety. As part of the role, you liaise with site contacts for permits, provide out-of-hours call-out cover, and participate in training and development programs.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing fire detection systems and panels.
• Willingness to train in gas suppression systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with a positive, professional attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel for training when required.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Complete accurate on-site documentation.
• Attend training and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with site contacts for permits to work.
• Support occasional passive fire tasks.
• Provide out-of-hours call-out cover (rota).
• Identify and report safety or compliance risks.
