Job summary

Options Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join an established fire and security business. The role covers London, the M25 corridor, Kent and Surrey with occasional travel towards the South Coast, performing maintenance, fault finding and remedial works on fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

The successful candidate will have practical experience with addressable and conventional systems, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence, with

Qualifications

• Experience in a fire alarm service or maintenance role.
• Knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of emergency lighting maintenance and testing.
• Strong fault-finding, testing and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of industry standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and testing.
• Diagnose faults, attend breakdowns and complete remedial works.
• Undertake occasional minor works and system improvements.
• Work on addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
• Complete accurate service documentation and technical reports.
• Ensure work meets relevant industry standards, including BS 5839-1 and BS 5266-1.
