Job summary

Firetecnics in London seeks an experienced Fire Alarm Service and Maintenance Engineer to join us on a permanent basis to support scheduled upgrades, installs and repairs on fire alarm systems for our prestigious clients in and around the London area.

A flexible, customer‑focussed professional who can participate in occasional out‑of‑hours callouts, a full UK driving license and prior fire alarm experience (analogue addressable and conventional systems) are required.

Qualifications

  • FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals.
  • Full UK Driving License and previous Fire Alarm Experience are required.
  • Knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems and BS5839 standards.
  • Good IT literacy and strong communication skills are expected.
  • Commitment to high professional ethical standards and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue ‘Great, not Good’ in fire safety services.
  • Be accountable for the quality system as well as providing excellent customer service.
  • Service, maintain and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) in accordance with the relevant British Standards.
  • Accurately complete engineer service reports.
  • Report deficiencies or deviations in fire systems.
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the procurement department to keep replenished and appropriately stocked.
  • Have a Health & Safety mindset, looking at possible risks associated with the role and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Complete a first fix where possible.

About the Role

We are looking for an experience Fire Alarm Service and Maintenance Engineer to join us on a permanent basis to support with scheduled upgrades, installs and repairs on fire alarm systems for our prestigious clients in and around the London area.

The ideal person will have a flexible approach to work, who can, on occasion, participate in an out of hours call out rota.

A full UK Driving License is required along with previous Fire Alarm Experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.

Pay range and compensation package

The role is full-time, and we are offering a competitive salary. This position will be based in the London Area with travel required to attend different sites. A full UK Driving License will be essential, and a company vehicle and fuel card will be provided.
