Job summary

Secure and Recruit Ltd is representing a West Midlands fire and security contractor seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to service, maintain and fault-find fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

You will carry out repairs, remedial works and commissioning as experience allows, with a 1 in 10 week on-call rota and travel paid.

The role offers 25 days leave, standby payments, and commission on specific tasks, with total earnings around £47k-£50k OTE.

Qualifications

• Service, maintain and fault-find across fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.
• Carry out repairs and remedial works as required.
• Complete commissioning work, depending on experience.
• Security systems experience (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) is a plus.
• Participate in a 1 in 10 week call-out rota.

Fire Alarm Engineer / Fire & Security Engineer

Location: West Midlands

Salary: Up to £40,000 basic

Package details

• Travel paid, minus the first 30 minutes
• £145 standby payment
• Minimum of 2 hours paid at 1.5x hourly rate, plus £15 per call-out
• 25 days' annual leave
• 7.5% commission on first-time fixes, non-compliance quotations and battery changes
• Additional earnings of approximately £5,000-£7,000 per year through commission
• OTE of £47,000-£50,000
