Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is partnering with a growing FinTech business to hire a Mid-Level Software Developer. You will work on market-leading financial planning and modelling technology used across the UK, in a skilled engineering team with exposure to cloud tech, CI/CD, financial modelling and AI-assisted development.

This role suits a developer who enjoys solving technical problems, taking ownership, and thriving in an environment that encourages building, improving and experimenting.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript experience.
• Full-stack experience with React and Node.js.
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis or similar technologies.
• Good knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Understanding of modern software engineering and Agile development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools would be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Work across the stack with React, Node.js, MongoDB and Redis.
• Develop and improve financial modelling applications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerised environments.
• Use modern AI development tools to support coding, refactoring and debugging.
• Review AI-generated code for security, performance and quality.
• Develop automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Work closely with Product and business stakeholders.
• Take ownership of technical problems through to resolution.
