Job summary

Adaptive is seeking a Java Developer to join our London-based fintech technology team. You will contribute to front-office trading systems, build robust JVM services, and work within cloud-based, event-driven patterns.

You should bring strong Java/Spring experience, knowledge of FIX, and familiarity with OMS/EMS/Exchange environments. The interview process includes three stages, including a pair programming task.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java, Spring, Cucumber, JUnit, GitHub, Fix Protocol.
• Significant professional server-side software development experience.
• Experience developing Front Office financial systems and E-Trading with FIX.
• Experience using messaging technologies such as Aeron.
• Experience delivering OMS/EMS/Exchange systems and exposure to equities trading.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based front-office trading services in cloud environments.
• Apply solid JVM design patterns to complex problems.
• Work in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) and with event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with teams on OMS/EMS/Exchange implementations.
