Job summary

Abound is expanding in the UK fintech space and seeking a Compliance Officer to support growth while ensuring fair customer outcomes. You will monitor compliance, report to senior management, and stay ahead of FCA developments.

The role involves cross‑functional collaboration and advising on regulatory risk and policy improvements. With 2+ years in retail financial services, you’ll join a high‑growth team, working hybrid with a London base.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail financial services, with a focus on compliance or controls.
• Strong commitment to customer outcomes and doing the right thing.
• Working knowledge of FCA Handbook requirements and Consumer Duty.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver compliance monitoring and remediation.
• Provide clear, actionable reporting for senior management and the Board.
• Track FCA developments and translate into business actions.
• Maintain and strengthen the control environment and policies.
• Partner with business teams as a trusted compliance advisor.
• Act as escalation point for complex cases (complaints, fraud risk).
• Support AML assessments and advise the MLRO.
• Collaborate with the Chief Compliance Officer on regulatory risk and strategy.
