Job summary

THE·TEAM is seeking an experienced Unit Manager / Deputy Unit Manager for our Finishing Department in Orpington. You will lead a dedicated finishing team, ensure high-quality output and seamless handoffs to installation.

The role requires hands-on supervision, planning, and close collaboration with production management to meet client campaigns. Based in our Orpington office, Monday to Friday, you will schedule work, monitor quality, manage workloads, and uphold health and safety standards while

Qualifications

• Planning and organising skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience planning and scheduling large format graphics production.
• Customer service orientation for internal and external clients.
• Great attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Experience of print and finishing production techniques for large format graphics.
• Competency in Microsoft Office and basic MIS system skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Finishing Unit team.
• Interview finishing staff and build a strong team in the Finishing Unit.
• Administrate all Finishing Unit personnel.
• Set and manage workloads across production tasks daily.
• Schedule all projects and finishing requirements on internal MIS system.
• Understand risk and escalation processes to avoid or manage issues.
• Follow instructions from production managers regarding campaign and event requirements.
• Operate and maintain a clean, efficient and productive finishing department.
• Report to the Print Production Director.
• Work as a team to achieve daily objectives to a high standard.
• Follow health & safety rules and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with your unit team and other departments.
