Job summary

Fawkes & Reece (North) is seeking a Finisher for work in Barnsley on behalf of social housing clients. The role covers finishing trades in void properties, including boxing in pipework, decorating, corking, and tiling repairs.

Working hours are 37.5 per week, 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, for a 12‑month contract. Applicants must have a CSCS card, own tools and transport, and social housing experience.

• Experience as a Finisher or multi-skilled tradesperson in social housing projects.
• CSCS card required.

Responsibilities

• Boxing in pipe work and plaster patching.
• Corking, painting/decorating, silicone joints.

Salary: GBP20 - GBP21 per hour

Finisher required in and around Barnsley to work in void properties on behalf ofcouncils/housing associations.This scheme is a mixture of responsive repairs and kitchen and bathroom schemes.

The Client

Our client is an award winning sub contractor who specialises in regeneration projects and operates around the Yorkshire and Derbyshire regions.

The Role

Main duties are boxing in pipe work, corking, painting/decorating, siliconejoints, attaching skirtings, plaster-patching, easing doors and replacing 2-3 tiles.

The total hours are 37.5 per week, 8am - 4:00pm with a 30 minute break - Monday to Friday. This contract is for 12 months work.

• Street Parking
• Work with a reputable social housing contractor who work on various schemes within Derbyshire
• Regular work on a week-to-week basis, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Finisher/Multi-Skilled Trades
• Social housing experience
• Own Tools
• Valid CSCS Card
• Own Transport
• UKATA Asbestos Awareness or be willing to take the online course
• Must be wiling to be clean shaven to be facefit tested
• You must be able to provide 2 x check able references if you haven't worked with Fawkes & Reece before.
