Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an experienced Transport Planner for a Middlesex-based role in Fine Art Shipping. You will coordinate movements of high-value items across the UK, plan routes, schedule collections and deliveries, and manage drivers and technicians to ensure efficient, safe operations in line with client requirements.

Key skills include strong organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in Excel and UK road knowledge.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, or fleet scheduling.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of fine art and high-value items across the UK.
• Plan vehicle routes, schedule collections and deliveries, coordinate drivers and technicians.
• Ensure transport activities are carried out efficiently, safely and per client requirements.
• Plan and schedule daily transport operations for collections, deliveries, installations and removals.
• Optimise vehicle routes and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
• Coordinate driver schedules, vehicle availability and installation teams.
• Monitor transport activities and respond to delays or customer requests.
• Maintain all transport documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Track vehicle movements and provide regular operational updates.
