Job summary

We Are Zenith in Sunderland is seeking an apprentice to support financial administration tasks while learning through a college-led programme. You'll work with Financial Advisers and colleagues, gaining hands-on experience and becoming a valued member of the team.

As an apprentice, you'll develop knowledge of pension, investment and protection products, prepare annual review packs, assist clients, liaise with providers, progress cases to completion, and handle general admin.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above are essential.
  • Strong communication and IT skills required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation are important.

Responsibilities

  • Develop knowledge of financial products including pensions, investments and protection.
  • Prepare annual review and meeting packs to assist IFA/Client meetings.
  • Provide updates to clients and ensure documentation is processed.
  • Liaise with providers to gather plan information for timely processes.
  • Progress mortgage, protection, pension, and investment business to completion.
  • General admin duties including filing, scanning, invoicing and post.
  • Answer calls promptly in a professional manner.
  • Prepare client valuations and update policy data.

Job description

Working collaboratively with Financial Advisers and ,other colleagues, you will assist in key financial administrative tasks. You will learn all aspects of the business and become a valued member of the team.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work
  • Develop a broad knowledge of financial products including both individual and employer pension knowledge, investments, and protection products.
  • Prepare annual review and meeting packs to assist the IFA/Client meeting process.
  • Provide assistance and updates to the client where required including documentation being returned and processed.
  • Liaise with various providers, gathering and correlating plan/policy information and ensuring a smooth and timely business process.
  • Progress mortgage, protection, pension, and investment business through to completion.
  • General Administration duties including filing, scanning, invoicing and post.
  • Answering calls promptly and in a professional manner.
  • Preparing client valuations and updating policy data.
Training
  • An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
  • This is a fully work-based programme.
    You will get allocated time to complete your apprenticeship work and also receive regular meetings with your training provider.
