Job Description

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking an experienced and versatile Financial Reporting Manager to join a prestigious London-based law firm. The firm specializes in real estate, private wealth, and corporate sectors, and values delivering exceptional client service. The successful candidate will manage a team of five to oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial accounting, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review and publish monthly management accounts and reports within set deadlines.
• Review and publish monthly cash flow and P&L forecasts.
• Collaborate with budget holders to prepare and agree on annual revenue and expenditure budgets.
• Review and publish monthly expenditure reports (OPEX and CAPEX) to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring data accuracy through regular transaction reviews.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Prepare and present ad-hoc financial reports to support legal group heads and partners.
• Maintain compliance with HMRC legislation, Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and accounting standards.
• Implement and monitor financial controls and policies.
• Analyze and review expenditure with budget holders.
• Assist in managing and reducing firm’s lock-up through best practices and targeted reporting.
• Oversee the year-end financial audit process.
