Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: London

Reporting to: Financial Reporting Accountant

Direct Reports: None

Working Arrangements: Full time, 35 hours per week

SiriusPoint, London writes three lines of business: Accident & Health, Casualty (Treaty and Insurance Binders), and Energy. We write through our platforms Sirius Syndicate 1945 at Lloyd’s and SiriusPoint International, UK Branch.

Join Our Team

You will be the Financial Reporting Analyst. You will support the production of internal planning and management information and external regulatory financial reporting for the syndicate and branch.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Assist in the production of quarterly management accounting information and all financial planning matters, including review of calendar year plans, forecast balance sheets, and production of operating expense budgets.
2. Assist in the production of various Lloyd’s regulatory returns, such as the QMB, Part VII, and ASB.
3. Support the Financial Reporting Accountant in developing management information and expense analysis.
4. Assist the financial reporting team in the month-end and quarter-end close process, including booking accounting entries and reconciliations for Group and Local reporting into Workday and SUN.
5. Assist in the production and filing of Lloyd’s and UK Branch regulatory returns as required.
6. Contribute to the development of UK reporting systems, including migration of SUN general ledger to Workday and automation of reporting processes.
7. Participate in ad hoc finance projects and reporting.
8. Perform all duties in line with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules as documented in the Employee Handbook.
9. Perform any other duties as reasonably required.

Your Skills and Abilities

• Higher education qualification - University degree or equivalent.
• Part-qualified in professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or committed to signing up for training.
• Experience with Lloyd’s reporting is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data volumes.
• Proficiency in technological improvements, automation, and reporting tools.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
• Flexible, proactive, and a team player.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.
