Job summary

Vantage is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant for a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover within the UK&I Finance team. You will maintain financial records, perform analysis, and ensure timely statutory and internal reporting.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help deliver accurate close processes and support broader company initiatives. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified accountant with strong technical skills, experience with consolidated statements, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Experience producing consolidated financial statements preferred.
• Experience with financial statement software (preferably Caseware).
• Ability to work quickly to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across the business.
• Hybrid work: 3 days in the office minimum.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance Manager in planning, preparation and delivery of statutory accounts.
• Lead monthly/quarterly consolidations for UK teams reporting requirements.
• Produce monthly/quarterly debt and investor reporting.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Prepare VAT Return workings and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Complete reconciliations of balance sheet accounts monthly (payroll, intercompany).
• Support Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation.
• Conduct variance analysis vs budgets/forecasts.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure internal financial controls and purchasing/payments compliance.
• Improve close processes for efficiency.
