Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to own statutory reporting, audit delivery and technical accounting across a complex, multi-entity group. The role will also drive improvements to reporting processes and collaborate with teams across the wider finance function.

The successful candidate will have ACA/ACCA qualification with strong experience in statutory accounts, audit, IFRS knowledge and a proactive mindset for automation and process

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts across multiple entities.
• Manage the external audit process, coordinating information and deadlines.
• Support Group reporting, consolidation and technical accounting requirements.
• Lead the reporting integration of newly acquired businesses into the wider Group.
• Partner with Management Accounts, Tax, Treasury and wider finance teams to resolve reporting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate and streamline existing reporting processes.

The Financial Reporting Accountant will take ownership of statutory reporting, audit delivery and technical accounting across a complex, multi-entity group. The role will also support the integration of newly acquired businesses, drive improvements to reporting processes and work closely with teams across the wider finance function.

Description

• Prepare and review statutory accounts across multiple legal entities.
• Manage the external audit process, coordinating information, queries and deadlines.
• Support Group reporting, consolidation and technical accounting requirements.
• Lead the reporting integration of newly acquired businesses into the wider Group.
• Partner with Management Accounts, Tax, Treasury and wider finance teams to resolve reporting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve, automate and streamline existing reporting processes.

Profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified, from either practice or industry.
• Strong experience in statutory accounts, audit and financial reporting.
• Technically capable, with knowledge of IFRS and UK reporting standards.
• Driven and ambitious, with the desire to progress into a more senior role.
• Confident and personable, with the ability to build relationships across finance and challenge proactively.
• A proactive mindset towards process improvement, automation and AI.

Job Offer

• Salary up to £60,000 + 10% bonus
