Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the finance and regulatory reporting team in a leading foreign bank. You will support accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and audit requirements while participating in a core banking UAT project.

The role is a fixed-term contract (3 months) with a daily rate of £450–£550 and benefits, offering exposure to complex financial reporting processes within a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience of month-end processes and financial close.
• Practical experience with reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and accounting adjustments.
• Experience producing daily, weekly and/or monthly financial reports.
• Strong financial analysis and variance investigation experience.
• Previous UAT or systems testing experience, ideally within finance or core banking systems.
• Experience supporting both internal and external audits.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Banking or financial services experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the timely completion of month-end financial close
• Preparing and reviewing reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
• Processing depreciation and other required accounting adjustments
• Producing daily financial accounts and reports
• Supporting weekly financial reporting
• Reviewing financial performance, movements and variances
• Investigating discrepancies and resolving financial reporting issues
• Taking part in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a core banking system project

• Supporting the Financial Control function during testing and implementation
• Producing financial information, schedules and supporting documentation for auditors

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join finance and regulatory reporting team within a leading foreign bank, providing a wide range of services to both private and corporate clients across the globe.

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will be supporting accurate financial reporting and control processes, including month-end close, reporting, UAT and audit requirements.

This is a fixed term contract role (3 months) offering salary range of £450 - £550 per day and benefits.
