Fixed Term Contract – 18 Months (Potential for Perm)

Paying up to £55k

Hybrid (1 day in Office per week)

Our client is looking to appoint a professional to join our team as maternity cover. There is a strong possibility a Permanent role will come to fruition in this time scale as they are an ever-growing business. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of accounting information and will have personal initiative and the ability to interact with non-financial managers and staff at all levels.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Accountant:

1. Run monthly P&L reviews with Heads of Departments, ensure adjustments are processed, and update Excel-based reconciliation/support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.
2. Investigate variances against forecast, ensure missing costs are accrued where necessary.
3. Develop, implement, and review processes, policies, and controls to ensure efficiency and business protection.
4. Manage all UK and European banking transactions.
5. Minimize foreign transaction costs using appropriate FX tools.
6. Support the end-to-end audit process with auditors and meet all internal and external statutory deadlines, including planning and review.
7. Process payroll, submit to MA’s for review, and prepare transactional reports.
8. Assist in reviewing month-end and quarter-end disclosures.
9. Support the Finance Operations Manager in project activities, including ERP system migration.

Key requirements for the Financial Reporting Accountant:

• Qualified accountant / qualified by experience or studying towards a qualification.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel.
• Experience in consolidated audits is advantageous.
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains, F&O Dynamics is desirable.
