About the role

We are seeking a skilled Group Financial Accountant to become a vital part of our dynamic finance team. In this key role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting function across multiple entities, ensuring precise reporting, regulatory compliance, and providing valuable financial insights. Collaborating with senior leadership, external auditors, and internal teams, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making.

What will you'll be doing?

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
• Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of group financial results
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of consolidated financial reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into key financial trends, variances, and performance metrics
• Management of intercompany recharges, reconciliations and policies
• Assist in the preparation of the annual financial budget and forecasts
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with the company's policies and accounting standards
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements
• Lead the annual financial statement audit process, working with external auditors and ensuring that all audit schedules and documentation are prepared and submitted on time
• Liaise with tax advisors to ensure submission of tax computations and compliance with UK Tax laws and regulations

What you'll bring?

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably in a group or multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting practices
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
• Experience with leading financial statement audits
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
