FP&A Controller (Healthcare)
Location: Central London (Hybrid Working - 3 days in the office)
My client, within the Healthcare Industry, is seeking an FP&A Business Partner to liaise between finance and the Care Groups. This role is a key interface into the finance team and will own the financial planning and forecasting for the Care Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Own the Care Group P&L, driving optimal financial performance.
- Deliver the Care Group P&L Plan/Forecast with the central FP&A Team, ensuring integrity of assumptions and buy-in from the management team.
- Provide business partnering to the Care Group, including financial input on Business Cases, resource planning, and ROI assessment.
- Strategically assess the long-term service model, providing financial advice and analysis, and communicating risks and opportunities.
- Build trust-based relationships with senior leadership, influencing financial decisions.
- Provide insightful commentary aligned with month-end and quarterly forecasts.
- Collaborate with Clinical teams on staffing controls, improving compliance and efficiency.
- Manage the Establishment Model, challenging resource requests and monitoring variances.
- Work with Procurement to identify supply efficiencies.
- Lead on procedure profitability analysis and implement optimizations.
- Conduct benchmarking against competitors as needed.
- Perform ad hoc analyses to support financial decision-making.
Required Experience:
- Proven track record of driving financial improvements.
- Successful financial ownership of a P&L or segments thereof.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present to non-financial audiences, with high emotional intelligence.
- Healthcare experience (desirable).
- Qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least 4 years post-qualification experience.
- Degree 2/2 minimum.
- Advanced Excel skills, Power BI, and a passion for automation and analysis.
