Job summary

Marks Sattin is assisting a rapidly growing fintech in London to hire a senior FP&A partner. You will shape financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting while partnering with senior leadership on strategic initiatives.

In this hybrid London role, you will own monthly management accounts, rolling forecasts, and multi-year plans, building 3-statement models and scenario analyses to guide decisions and investor updates.

Qualifications

• Experience leading FP&A in fintech/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly management accounts and reporting packages.
• Manage rolling forecasts, budgets and multi-year plans with clear assumptions.
• Develop integrated three-statement models for scenario planning.
• Perform variance analysis with actionable leadership commentary.
• Build frameworks for gross/contribution margin and profitability by products/segments.
• Create pricing analysis to assess impact of pricing changes on revenue and margin.
• Develop dashboards tracking margin trends and flag issues.
• Collaborate with commercial/ops on cost allocation and economic visibility.
• Prepare board materials and investor-ready reporting.
• Partner with Finance Data Analyst on data definitions and data quality.
• Turn structured data into insights and decision-support.
• Support fundraising, due diligence, and strategic reviews with accurate financial data.

Marks Sattin is working with a rapidly scaling fintech expanding across the UK and Europe. As a central FP&A partner, you will shape financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting while partnering with senior leadership on strategic and board level initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and enhancement of monthly management accounts.
• Maintain rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and multi year financial plans with clear assumptions.
• Develop and update integrated three statement models for scenario planning.
• Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast) and produce actionable commentary for leadership.
• Build frameworks to assess gross margin, contribution margin, and profitability across products, segments, and customer cohorts.
• Develop pricing analysis models to evaluate the financial impact of pricing changes on revenue, margin, and unit economics.
• Create dashboards to track margin trends and highlight emerging issues.
• Partner with commercial and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and economic visibility.
• Prepare monthly board materials and investor ready reporting on financial performance and strategic progress.
• Work with the Finance Data Analyst on data definitions, quality standards, and integrated financial operational data sets.
• Turn structured datasets into clear insights and decision support.
• Collaborate with external advisors on fundraising, due diligence, and strategic reviews by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

Prior Experience:

• Prior experience within a Fintech/Payments or broader Financial Services Experience
• Experience working in a similar FP&A function
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (Ideally from Big 4 background)
• Strong project experience assisting with implementations and automations
• Experience utilising AI to help automate processes
